Anonymous Breached Biggest Collection of Child Porn in Deepweb
At least 10,000 websites have been shut down after Freedom Hosting II was targeted in February; the largest underground host. The hackers told that more than 50% of the freedom hosting 2 was filled with child pornography.
Dark web is the secret servers which is the core of internet where people hide data, with heavy security. Around 20 percent of the dark web was affected by the hack, and barriers known for their sophistication were easily breached.
Usually,the porno addicts will be given a password to login from their safe space,but it has changed when anonymous took the place.When users of the site logged in, they were greeted with a message from Anonymous announcing they’d been hacked.
The porn addicts became exposed and the hackers as usual never forget to do their job.“We are disappointed,” the message stated. “This is an excerpt from your front page, ‘We have a zero tolerance policy for child pornography.’ All your files have been copied and your database has been dumped.”
As the videos where private, the hackers asked ransome. They took all the personal data. The grumbled users were furious. Along with the hack, stolen data would only be returned if the demand of 1 Bitcoin (approx. 100 USD) was met. This demand ultimately reached around 400,000 users.
The hacker wasn’t doing this for the social purpose, but just to earn some bucks. But when he saw the crime, he started a war to resist and save the society. Initially, the Anonymous hacker wanted to just access Freedom Hosting II but decided to shut the site down because of the high amounts of child pornography that was being dispersed. All in all, around one fifth of the site came to a grounding halt.
It is usual that there will be celebreties among the users. According to the hacker, the information stolen also included “thousands of unverified US government email addresses.”
Don’t think that the hacker was a ransom greed,but he ensured that none will be used again in any illegal way. The hacker also said the personal data stolen would not be distributed due to the vast amounts of child porn attached to the accounts. Rather, a security advisor will act as an intermediary and hand it over to the authorities on the hacker’s behalf.
Prior to this attack, in 2011, Freedom Hosting was a target of Anonymous, which then also housed over 40 child porn sites. The hosting site then, was also largely shut down.
